Into a small saucepan, add glaze ingredients and set aside momentarily.
Into a large stockpot, add vegetable oil and 2 popcorn kernels. Turn to medium heat and cover. Once the popcorn kernels pops, add remaining kernels to stockpot and cover, keeping the lid slightly cracked for the steam to release. Shake the pot over the burner occasionally to keep the kernels from burning.
Turn saucepan with glaze ingredients to medium heat, whisking together to combine once melted. Cook for about 5 minutes. The glaze will thicken and form tight, slow rolling bubbles.
Once the popping subsides, about 5 minutes, pour pumpkin glaze over popcorn. Shake or stir over heat to evenly coat. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, sans lid, to lock in the glaze. Serve immediately.
